What to expect the week of February 8-12 Vocabulary Test will be Tuesday (or the next day we are here)for the words from last week. There will be no new words for this week. Please make sure that students are reading independently at least 15 minutes a day (75 minutes a week). Reading logs are due on Monday of each week for the previous week. The vocabulary words for the week are: 1) available - easy to get, present and ready to use 2) bondage - the state of being a slave 3) donate - to give to those in need 4) establish - to set up or begin to show to be true 5) evade - to keep away from to avoid being caught, to avoid doing or answering 6) liberate - to free 7) numerous - a large number, very many 8) occasion - a particular time, a special event 9) oppose - to be or act against 10) prohibit - to forbid by law or order 11) pursue - to follow in order to capture, to chase, to seek actively 12) reassure - to make less worried or fearful, to comfort 13) reluctant - not wanting to do something, unwilling 14) superior - excellent of its kind, higher in position or rank 15) yearn 0 to want very badly Study!!
